SURAH 9:111 – THE SOURCE OF ISLAMIC TERRORISM

In recent times, we have witnessed an alarming increase in the number of terror attacks worldwide by Islamic terrorists. And these attacks continue unabated. These acts of terrorism may appear unstoppable. While it is true that we may not have the power to control the wind, we still have within our hands the power to control the sails. What do we mean by this? It means that we have within us the power to do something to overcome this scourge. We can learn how to help sincere Muslims leave this cult of death. Someone once made this profound remark: “Silence in the face of evil is evil itself.” We hope this article will encourage you to take up this challenge.

It may come as a surprise for many to learn that the very first casualties of Islamic terrorism are the terrorists themselves. We are not saying this to condone or to absolve the culpability of the terrorists who commit these evil crimes in the name of Allah. We are stating this to highlight the fact that behind these calculated killings there is a more sinister force at work. For example, a person with a severe virus may run a high fever. While the fever itself can be quite a grave problem, it is merely a symptom of an unseen destructive disease at work.  The acts of terrorism that we are witnessing worldwide are merely the external symptoms of a more destructive disease at work.

Muslim terrorists are indoctrinated by an evil ideology. This evil ideology is indoctrinated with such precision and efficiency that in most cases there is no turning back to sanity. Therefore, any terrorism prevention effort must begin with a clear understanding of what motivates the terrorists and transforms them to become mindless killers. Unless a physician can identify the disease, it will be impossible to cure the patient. It is futile to treat the symptom and not the disease. Worse still, if you cannot even name your enemy, how can you defeat them?

Well, what motivates Muslims to become terrorists? Is Islam the cause? More specifically, is the Qur’an in anyway responsible for the Islamic terrorism we are now witnessing worldwide? The answers to these questions are obvious. It is time to stop deceiving ourselves. It is time to name the enemy. To win the war against terrorism, it is crucial to identify the foe. It is crucial to know what motivates the terrorists. With an exception of a rare few, most leaders of the free-world deliberately choose to evade the issue. While knowing that Islamic terrorism is religiously motivated, they find it a taboo to say it openly.

In Islam, it is not how one lives that guarantees salvation, but how one dies. To die while fighting for the cause of Allah is the only sure way for Muslims to reserve a place in Paradise. It’s true that not all terrorists carry out their evil crime through suicide. However, this does not mean that they are not prepared to die for the cause of Allah. The only thing that stands in their way to sacrifice their lives immediately is the overpowering desire to carry out more attacks before they give up their lives. The violent slaughter through suicide by Muslim terrorists is rooted deeply in the teachings of the Qur’an. The following Qur’anic verses will attest to this indisputable truth:

Surah 2:207: And there is the type of man who gives his life to earn the pleasure of Allah: And Allah is full of kindness to (His) devotees. (Yusuf Ali)

Surah 4:74: So let those who trade the life of this world for the Hereafter fight in Allah’s cause. Whoever fights in Allah’s cause, whether he is killed or victorious, We will grant him a tremendous reward. (Ali Unal)

Surah 9:111: “Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur’an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme.” (Yusuf Ali)

All the above Qur’anic verses clearly teach that Allah rewards the Muslims who “slay and are slain” for the cause of Islam. Let us now consider another interesting verse in the Quran:

Surah 17:33: “And do not kill the soul which Allah has forbidden, except by right.” (U. Muhammad)

Surah 17:33 is one the most important Qur’anic verses in the terror manual of Muslims. This Qur’anic verse not only justifies the sacrificial death of the terrorist but also the unintentional killing of other Muslims in the process. Since the goal of the Muslim terrorists is to defeat the infidels at all cost, they believe that the end justifies the means. Therefore, it is the “right” of the Jihadists to inflict collateral damage, even when it involves the lives of fellow-Muslims in order to establish the Caliphate. It must be remembered that it is not the objective of the suicide killers to simply die for the sake of Allah but to eliminate the enemies of Islam in the process. And this means exterminating all non-Muslims:

Surah 9:29: Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the Last Day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Messenger have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth. (Shakir)

Read the above Qur’anic verse carefully. It does not say fight those who attack or oppress you. No, it clearly states fight those who do not believe in Allah nor follow the religion of truth, which is Islam. This simply means fight all those who are not Muslims. Not because they are attacking the Muslims but for not accepting Islam.

In the mathematics of Islamic terror, one of the most effective ways to kill the enemies of Islam is through suicide. This is because the victims are often unaware of the presence of death in their very midst until it is too late for them. The terrorists accept their own death as a necessary sacrifice. Islam rewards these suicide killers not simply for dying, but for dying as a means of killing for Allah. They are honored as martyrs because they died in the struggle against the infidel enemies of Islam.

THE BARGAIN OF ALLAH

Islam teaches that all Muslims–including pious ones –will spend a waiting-period in Hell before their entry into Paradise. However, the release from Hell and the subsequent entry into Paradise will only take place on the Day of Resurrection during the time of the end. As for the unfaithful Muslims, they will be left behind in Hell. Therefore, the rescue of the faithful ones from Hell will occur only during the time of the end. Unbelievable as it may seem, Islam teaches that until then, all Muslims will burn and taste the fires of Hell:

Sahih Muslim, Book 001, Number 0349:

“They (the angels) would recognise them in the Fire by the marks of prostration, for Hell-fire will devour everything (limb) of the sons of Adam except the marks of prostration. Allah has forbidden the fire to consume the marks of prostration. They will be taken out of the Fire having been burnt, and the water of life would be poured over them, and they will sprout as seed does in the silt carried by flood.”

Well, does the Qur’an support the above teaching that all Muslims will taste the fires of Hell? Sadly for Muslims, it does. Provided below are two different translations of the Qur’anic verses which clearly teach that all Muslims, without exception, will descend into Hell:

Surah 19:70-71: “We best know which of them are more worthy to be burned therein. There shall be none of you but shall descend into the same hell: This is an established decree upon thy Lord.” (Sale)

We know best who deserves greater suffering in hell fire. It is the inevitable decree of your Lord that every one of you will be taken to hell. (M. Sarwar)

Since it is an inevitable decree for all Muslims to spend an unspecified period of time in Hell before reaching Paradise, Allah made a bargain with Muslims. He told them if they die fighting for his cause, he will forgive their sins and save them from the “painful punishment” of Hell-fire. In other words, they can avoid the destiny of Hell-fire. Paradise will be instant for those who die fighting for Allah. We will now look into this bargain of Allah:

Surah 9:111: Allah has verily bought the souls and possessions of the faithful in exchange for a promise of Paradise. They fight in the cause of Allah, and kill and are killed. This is a promise incumbent on Him, as in the Torah, so the Gospel and the Qur’an. And who is more true to his promise than Allah? So rejoice at the bargain you have made with Him; for this will be triumph supreme. (Ahmed Ali)

We find a similar bargain in another Qur’anic verse:

Surah 61:10-13: O you who have faith! Shall I show you a deal that will deliver you from a painful punishment? Have faith in Allah and His Apostle, and wage jihad in the way of Allah with your possessions and your persons. That is better for you, should you know. He shall forgive you your sins and admit you into gardens with streams running in them, and into good dwellings in the Gardens of Eden. That is the great success. (Ali Quli Qara’i)

The above Qur’anic verses were written in the historical context of the Battle of Uhud (625 C.E.). It is important to note that the original Arabic term “jihad” appears in these Qur’anic verses. Till today, Muslim suicide killers are motivated by this murderous bargain of Allah. Allah’s bargain is still in force in the Qur’an today. Islam guarantees a place in Paradise for these murderous terrorists who die fighting for Allah. He who gives his life for the Islamic cause will have his sins forgiven and a place reserved in Paradise. The following Hadiths show that the aspirations of Muslims have not changed from the time of Muhammad till today.

Sahih Bukhari, Volume 5, Book 59, Number 377:

Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah: On the day of the battle of Uhud, a man came to the Prophet and said, “Can you tell me where I will be if I should get martyred?” The Prophet replied, “In Paradise.” The man threw away some dates he was carrying in his hand, and fought till he was martyred.

Sahih Muslim, Book 20, Hadith Number 4681:

The tradition has been narrated on the authority of ‘Abdullah b. Qais. He heard it from his father who, while facing the enemy, reported that the Messenger of Allah said: Surely, the gates of Paradise are under the shadows of the swords. A man in a shabby condition got up and said; Abu Musa, did you hear the Messenger of Allah say this? He said: Yes. The narrator said: He returned to his friends and said: I greet you a farewell greeting. Then he broke the sheath of his sword, threw it away, advanced with his naked sword towards the enemy and fought them with it until he was slain.

The following Qur’anic verse clearly proves that to believe in the religion of Muhammad means fighting for the cause of Allah. And fighting for the cause of Allah means killing the unbelievers. Islam and violence are inseparable:

Surah 9:88: “But the Messenger, and those who believe with him, strive and fight with their wealth and their persons: for them are all good things: and it is they who will prosper.” (Yusuf Ali)

REWARD FOR MURDER

To entice Muslims to die fighting for the cause of Allah, the Qur’an paints a picture of a sensuous Paradise that makes it absolutely difficult for lustful men to resist. The promise of instant gratification with a multiple of sexual partners immediately upon death ensured a steady flow of eager Jihadists willing to blow themselves up. The following Qur’anic verses reveal the incentives that are in store for those who die fighting for Allah. Though all pious Muslims will eventually inherit the sexual-pleasures of Paradise, the suicide killers of Islam will receive their reward instantly upon their death:

Surah 44:54: “So; and We shall join them to fair women with beautiful, big, and lustrous eyes. There can they call for every kind of fruit in peace and security; Nor will they there taste Death, except the first death; and He will preserve them from the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.” (Yusuf Ali)

Surah 52:20: “They will recline with ease on Thrones of dignity arranged in ranks; and We shall join them to Companions, with beautiful big and lustrous eyes.” (Yusuf Ali)

Surah 56:34-36: “And raised couches, Lo! We have created them a (new) creation And made them virgins Lovers, friends For those on the right hand.” (Pickthall)

The Hadiths also mention the rewards that Allah has in store for the suicide killers of Islam in Paradise.

Sunan al-Tirmidhi, Hadith Number 3834: 

Narrated by Al-Miqdam ibn Ma’dikarib: Allah’s Messenger (peace be upon him) said, “The martyr receives six good things from Allah: he is forgiven at the first shedding of his blood; he is shown his abode in Paradise; he is preserved from the punishment in the grave; he is kept safe from the greatest terror; he has placed on his head the crown of honour, a ruby of which is better than the world and what it contains; he is married to seventy-two wives of the maidens with large dark eyes; and is made intercessor for seventy of his relatives.”

While pious Muslims will have to endure the fires of Hell while waiting for their reward, the suicide killers who had already sacrificed their lives for Allah are now in Paradise sexually enjoying their gifts of seventy-two virgins. This instant reward is what motivates Muslims to become terrorists. As for the innocent infidels who are murdered, Islam teaches that they are confined to the fires of Hell. Their greatest crime was to be born as infidels. Therefore, it is a sacred duty for Islamic terrorists to kill these infidels. All those who are ignorant of Islam, should pay careful attention to the sermons of the Egyptian-born British Cleric, Abu Hamza al-Masri. This is crucial because his views are highly esteemed and shared by all true Muslims. On the subject of killing non-Muslims, he stated:

“Killing a Kafir who is fighting you is OK. Killing a Kafir for any reason, you can say, it is OK – even if there is no reason for it. You can poison, ambush and kill non-believers. You must have a stand with your heart, with your tongue, with your money, with your hand, with your sword, with your Kalashnikov. Don’t ask shall I do this, just do it.”

Many do not understand the reason for Islamic terrorism. They fail to understand that the root cause of Islamic terrorism is Islam itself. They fail to understand that Islamic terrorism is based on the religious teachings of the Qur’an and the Hadith. To solve the problem of terrorism, the ideology that creates terrorists must be destroyed. And we must expose the fact that this murderous ideology is based on the theology of Islam. It is time for us to learn the truth. It is time for us to wake up. The Russians have an interesting saying. It goes something like this: “Fool me once and shame on you, fool me twice and shame on me.” We will now consider the testimony of the late Osama bin Laden:

“I am one of the servants of Allah.  We do our duty of fighting for the sake of the religion of Allah.  It is also our duty to send a call to all the people of the world to enjoy this great light and to embrace Islam and experience the happiness in Islam.  Our primary mission is nothing but the furthering of this religion.” – Osama bin Laden (May 1998)

And the furtherance of Islam means the killings of infidels. However, there is good news. Contrary to what is often believed, it is possible to lead Muslims to Christ. An increasing number of Muslims are already expressing their desire to become followers of Christ. They are discovering that the teachings of Christ are based on love. And these teachings are helping them to develop a loving relationship with the true God.

The Holy Bible is a powerful weapon in our spiritual warfare against the ideology of Islam. It is not simply for nothing that the Word of God is described as the “Sword of the Spirit.” Unlike the sword of Islam, it is not destructive. It saves lives. We should strive to wield it skillfully. A soldier can only be effective if he has practiced and learned how to use his weapon efficiently. It is the same with the use of the “Sword of the Spirit” in our spiritual warfare. When used effectively, the Bible’s message can free sincere Muslims from the murderous hatred indoctrinated into them by Islam:

2 Corinthians 10:4-5: For the weapons of our warfare are not fleshly, but powerful by God for overturning strongly entrenched things. For we are overturning reasonings and every lofty thing raised up against the knowledge of God, and we are bringing every thought into captivity to make it obedient to the Christ.

The single most important step to free Muslims from this cult of death is to first attain an accurate knowledge of the Bible ourselves. You will be shocked to learn as to what great lengths Muslim leaders go to suppress the knowledge of the Bible from reaching the Muslims. Why? Because it the only Book that can refute the teachings of the Qur’an and expose the lies of Islam. In conclusion, we will consider the words of the greatest man who ever walked the earth. We will consider the words of Jesus Christ:

Matthew 5:43-44: “You heard that it was said, ‘You must love your neighbor and hate your enemy.’ However, I say to you: Continue to love your enemies and to pray for those persecuting you.”

Jesus came with a message of salvation based on divine love. He was sent by his Father who is the originator of that love. Jehovah is the personification of love:

1 John 4:8: Whoever does not love has not come to know God, because God is love.

In contrast, Muhammad came with a message of murderous violence. He inspired his followers to murder and slaughter in the name of Allah. By his own admission, Muhammad was the first Islamic terrorist.

 Sahih Bukhari, Volume 4, Book 52, Number 220:

Fighting for the Cause of Allah (Jihad)

Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Apostle said, “I have been sent with the shortest expressions bearing the widest meanings, and I have been made victorious with terror.”

Islam is a blood-thirsty religion which lives and grows by shedding blood. It needs blood to survive. And when the blood of infidels becomes scarce, Islam will turn against its own. And history validates this fact.
